Privacy breaches come in many guises … this is one of them.
Who controls the robot? Why should we cry when a thief gets hacked?
Just so no-one thinks such issues don’t concern them because all they have in their house is a vacuum robot
Yes but you actually have to give it connectivity to accomplish that. As it is, it’s just a dumb robot bumping into things until it’s covered all the space. Jack’s a doughnut, Bob’s your uncle. I have an older one, wood floors, and two dogs, That thing gets a work out. Do the new ones require an active internet connection? I don’t know.
There’s also valetudo to make sure it never calls home
I just can’t find a valid reason or benefit to attaching my rumba to the wifi.
