The U.S. Justice Department indicted Assange in 2019 on 17 charges of espionage and one charge of computer misuse over his publication of classified U.S. diplomatic and military documents.

This man deserves to be free.

Misleading title. He did not win the appeal.

He won the opportunity to have an appeal hearing.

It is last week’s news anyhow.

I vote for changing the title to make it clearer that he won the right. Change to “Wikileaks founder wins [right to appeal] U.S. extradition”

Misleading headline.

They’re just fucking with him. Giving him some hope, then they’ll take it away again 😔

Emphasis mine, since the headline is poorly worded. He didn’t win an appeal, the court agreed that he can appeal. He still could be shipped off to the US and then eventually <blacksite prison name not found>.
