VPN wouldn’t cause it to flag you as a bot, that’s a profile setting you control yourself. @cypherpunks@lemmy.ml detailed how you can change it in comment below.

How to remove the bot flag ?

In the web interface, click your username, then settings, then uncheck the “bot account” checkbox, and click save.

Maybe because I use VPN. Reddit doesn’t allow VPN and lemmy too

the lemmy instance you’re using does allow VPNs.

It’s a flag you set up yourself, it’s in your user configuration.

Generally Lemmy (and Fediverse platforms) don’t use sneaky dark patterns or hidden blocks. If you are blocked in some way, there should be something indicating it.
