Yeah, that will fix Apple being total utter assholes. Giving them what they want always fixes everyone being assholes.

Of course people can use whatever they want. In my case, I think Ubuntu based distros can’t deliver the best performance for gaming because they use older graphics stacks and kernels that, by the way, are configured for generic hardware and performance. On the other hand, I have been using Linux for more than 20 years, so I can take this issues and solve them if they keep appearing.

Yes, there’s no doubt in my mind Nobara is not mature enough and shouldn’t be recommended to novice Linux users/gamers. Using Fedora instead of Nobara, is way easier for a regular user, comparing the upgrade process of both was like night and day.

Xiaomi phones usually get their source code published. From there, you may want to choose a Qualcomm device, for some reason developers prefer these to build device trees for custom ROMs. If you don’t mind having an older phone, you may want to check the list of officially supported phones for reputed custom ROMs like Lineage OS or Pixel Experience and buy one of those. I’m guessing that phones in China are cheap and options are numerous.

How to update to Nobara 39 if transaction test errors arise
So, I was having a hard time trying to update Nobara 38 to Nobara 39. Did the KDE swap, followed the website instructions to upgrade but in the last part, after: ```$sudo dnf system-upgrade download --releasever=39 -y``` I'd get: ```Error: Transaction test error:``` ``` file /usr/lib64/libopenh264.so.2.3.1 conflicts between attempted installs of noopenh264-0.1.0~openh264_2.3.1-2.fc39.x86_64 and openh264-2.3.1-2.fc39.x86_64``` Tried several solutions to this without success but noticed it's just that two packages in the upgrade are trying to write the same file. My solution was to just disable the openh264 Cisco repo for the upgrade with: ```$sudo dnf config-manager --set-disabled fedora-cisco-openh264``` You can do this also in the Diskover preferences. After disabling the Cisco repo you can proceed with: ```$sudo dnf system-upgrade download --releasever=39 -y``` ```$sudo system-upgrade reboot``` Then, after a successful upgrade, go to Diskover > Preferences and enable (check) the fedora_cisco_openh264 repo. Finally, do perform a system update with Nobara update tool. Install whatever it tells you it's missing and then you are done. Figured I'd share this here since the threads in Reddit don't show any clear fix to the problem. Hope someone can use it.

I’m sorry, I’m not familiar with the word “futo”. Do you mean the swipelib file?

Well, they say they may be shutting down soon. I think it’s fair.

Don’t want to be a douche but don’t you think someone else may have uploaded one of two? It happened to me, they used my name too.

So, let me grasp your comment, are you saying that this is not creepy at all?

EDIT: To clarify, I find both things creepy, the telemetry and the insistence to ping home no matter what.

“xAI”. The success of this AI will be measured whether it changes its name or not.

I’m just upvoting all the “lol”, “lmfao” and “hahaha” comments.

Sure, but if you rely on Nitter in any way, you may want to have a look at their GitHub issues page. I really hope they can still provide the service as long as X exists.

FYI, nitter doesn’t work anymore or, at least they’re having a very hard time trying to make it work again and again.

Huh, most of the time. I mean, people like you don’t have to use it at all, but I prefer to just press “Update all” once if I have >2 updates in a row.

Does it have an update all button? That’s what prevented me to keep using it some months ago.

Not OP but I’d like a “just works” experience if that’s the deal with SteamOS 3.

It’s still not click and play, but most of the time it is. I wish companies stopped shipping game launchers, I’ve been pulling hairs with 2K, tweaking here and there to be able to launch a game.
