IVPN imo, just because it offers reverse split tunneling, if you prefer having more countries to choose from you can use Proton.

I can’t find the announcement and this issue is still open, can you share your source? https://github.com/mullvad/mullvadvpn-app/issues/2808

Check out IVPN, I find the service very similar but they also offer reverse split tunneling (choosing what programs go through the VPN).

I love Mullvad but for some reason they refuse to add reverse split tunneling, so imo the only options are IVPN or Proton.

Reverse split tunneling gives you the ability of using the VPN only in the apps/programs you select.

Are you sure it was disciontinued? Mullvad is not Mull.

Mastodon is a self-hostable software, not a service controlled by a single person. The servers are hosted by inviduals so you should be saying “Some people on Mastodon thinks X”, instead of the whole platform.

Can someone recommend a good and privacy oriented alternative to Proton Drive.

It’s sad that Proton bought SimpleLogin because I was and I’m currently using it before the acquisition.

It’s nice that we have a working Roblox Linux client but I’ll just ignore it until it’s open sourced.

But they are always coming from the same IP, so you are still identifiable. If you want increased anonymity you need more people to use your instance to mix the search topics.

If you have uBlock Origin then Privacy Badger is redundant. Also, more extensions = easier fingerprinting.

You can’t change what the game shows if it doesn’t have native support to show PS o Switch buttons.

You can try to enable Steam Input and customize the button bindings through Steam.

Of course there are alternatives, that’s not the main problem, it’s the adoption by people not familiar or interested in tech.

Then go tell that to all of your WhatsApp contacts, people won’t change apps.

I do not trust EA, for example, Leagure of Legends (from Riot) always worked on Linux until some day they decided to implement Vanguard and screw all the Linux player base, so the same thing will happen with Apex Legends.

At this rate, no EA game would be playable on Linux. They are adding kernel anticheat and blocking Linux players to most multiplayer EA titles, even old ones. They are literally robbing us money.

But thanks for the tool recommendation.

For example, using Aurora Store and Obtanium instead of Google Play and avoid enabling Google Play Services.

One of these is programming oriented but they let you choose the model so I guess it is fine:

OpenAI API alternative:

Proton does not support IMAP/SMTP.

Because I’m free to complain about things I don’t like.

Many of my friends use Discord but I also use Matrix and I prefer that. This is a Signal/WhatsApp like situation.

If Discord starts shoving them ads maybe I can bring some people over to a more secure platform easily.

If it wasn’t a privacy nightmare maybe I will consider paying, but data theft + ads? Naaaah.

Time to move to Matrix then, and I’m not even joking. Ads are Aids.

I never heard of Radicle but it looks very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
