Bro...Google Chrome is so convenient, why do you care so much about privacy? In this video, I'll finally explain why I dislike all of the creepy tracking by companies like Google, Amazon and Facebook, as well as the dangerous, real-world consequences this data collection can cause.

I don’t know if this video is actually any more effective than the “philosophical” ones, but I appreciate the time he spent collating real world examples. The biggest and most serious example I can think of is simply data breaches. Year after year these big companies show that they cannot be trusted with your data - they consistently fail to protect it from criminals. You would think the regularity with which these big companies fail consumers would prompt many to reconsider how much data they actually need to be sharing in the first place, but unfortunately even when people are literally affected in the real world they still refuse to wake up.
A place to discuss privacy and freedom in the digital world.
Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn’t great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
Don’t promote proprietary software
Try to keep things on topic
If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience
