The United States Should Steer Towards Better Data Privacy**

No need to focus on automobiles. Just pass a GDPR and it’ll cover all the things.

´How about no automotive data?

This doesn’t advocate for any substantial improvement of data protections. It’s merely a convenience argument to legitimize banning Chinese cars for economic reasons. American car manufacturers will continue to harvest and sell all your data, just with less competition.

Of course, this isn’t a surprise coming from the CFR, the lobbying organization for US imperialism.

How about we steer toward better data privacy in general? Cars are collecting way too much data about us? So is everything else! We need sweeping legislation to claw back our privacy. We need a constitutional amendment guaranteeing a right to privacy.
