Modern big tech (Apple, Google, Microsoft), along with mainstream platforms is chaotic with manipulative algorithms; all for the purpose of exploiting the user with data collection, pushing ads, wasting the user’s time by keeping them constantly engaged. Smartphones most of all are fragile, high maintenance, dopamine slot machines. What I have laid out cuts out all forms of big tech algorithmic manipulation.
Suffice to say, my own process actually saved my sanity and I no longer have anxiety as I once did. It’s been freeing. And it’s like, once you filter out all the time wasting slop, what exactly does the vast majority of the Internet and the mainstream online services even offer? In the end, what I have detailed gave me a lot of clarity on how much people waste their lives online; especially when out in public holding a smartphone in their face, letting life pass them by.

I think you’re very well when it comes to privacy, but that’s not mininalism, finding private alternatives is different from digital minimalism.
To me, digital minimalism would be: Go from a note pad app to a physical note book.
While what you’re doing is going from a note pad app to a more privacy friendly digital app.
I agree with the digital minimalism tho, I think the less we depend on cloud the less we have to worry about.
This is the digital minimalism I am talking about. Don’t twist what I’m saying. Using a flip phone and an MP3 player is completely minimal compared to the smartphone you walk around with everywhere.
