Can someone tell me why an Android launcher should have Internet access…? Been on the hunt for a new launcher but am not installing software which I fail to see having to use the net to operate…just like keyboards…another one that has me scratch my head

They might need access so that widgets can work?

I use Lawnchair which is FOSS rather than some company scraping data (like Nova which was bought by an analytics company and is being shut down)

Lawnchair

I came back here specifically to say, “Oooooh ‘lawnchair’! ‘lawwwwwnchr’ that’s hilarious lol”

I’ve been holding onto OG Lawnchair faaaar too long. I wish the updated version would land on official F-Droid already.
