Searching F-droid today for ‘vpn’, something called URNetwork came up, touting itself as better then a VPN, and sounding frankly too good to be true. Duckduckgo searches are finding very little not either going to them (ur.io, or their github, etc) or some site called Product Hunt that I’ve never come across before. Nothing useful or that gives me confidence even that this isn’t a scam.
Does anyone know anything about this product?

much thanks to @gary_host_laptop for the logo design :)
3rd point depends on how the VPN advertises itself. If it advertises itself as nordVPN used to do then it’s a scam. If it advertises itself what a vpn actually does then it’s not a scam
Not sure why this is a response to my query.
Ehm, mullvad.
Which day did you go to check their servers?
Havent done that. But I did generate a new account number then sent them cash through the mail from the U.S. without a return address. And the balance got applied to the account. I appreciate being able to generate an anonymous account, and the ability to pay for the account in an anonymous way.
Ah, I was there just yesterday, had a pint with the frankfurt server 03, the poor thing said 01 won’t talk to it anymore. Very sad.
😥
Connecting to any trustworthy VPN at the very least:
Which is objectively not a scam and a desirable thing to do. Not as desirable as hosting your own VPN, but 100% better than not having one, no matter what some guy on the internet says.
Objectively a centralised VPN provider cannot prove it is trustworthy but I can guaranteed not paying.
