I haven’t read a single positive comment here, which is to be expected in this community. But to be honest I kind of like the idea of an AI assistant that keeps track of my schedule, knows about my friends and what I am doing. Of cause I would not use gemini and am happy that i dont have to care about it with e/OS. But something that helps me keep track of things and can help me with stuff seems interesting. I’m interested to hear reviews of it

I recsntly set up my PC again and had fomo when selecting a distro. First ai helped to choose, just tell it what your requirements are. Second, its Linux. After the installiert you can do whatever you want with it. Just pick one if the 3 best fitting ones

Can not recommend. The levels were very difficult but short and the final reward was shit

I am sorry for that experience.

I mean if you consent, they can do it. Maybe you can opt out like with meta. I think the issue will be, that ai can reveal secrets it is not supposed to

Totally, but the government does not really have access to this data, they would have to know what apps to look for first

I don’t have this much trust in the system anymore to be honest. If the data is available, it can be misused or leaked or hacked. Maybe I am paranoid ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I recently heard the episode of darknet diaries about it. I would think a simple PIN-Code that is mandatory would solve this issue? Or a letter send to the owner of the SIM?

I have an issue with how SIM cards are handled in most countries
Almost all countries require official authentication to activate a SIM card. This seems to me as a huge privacy problem, if the country can track sim cards across cell towers and connect them to a person. It seems like a dystopian system, that we litterely can not hide from our governments without turning off our smartphones. It seems incredibly unnecessary to me and just sets up the system to be abused. Or do I understand something wrong? What can we do against this? There are some sim cards that can be bought second hand, but they will not be a long term solution.
