Ahh maybe that is the reason the game crashes on me after I want to start a race

Speed Dreams? Is this a FOSS RACING GAME OwO?

Unfortunately a lot of instances do not have “lemmy” in their name, which makes this web searching significantly more difficult

Wow now that’s interesting. Well corpo tax is apparently low in here, that might explain why.

I did read the post before constructing my comment and that’s why I feel sad for seeing privacy concerns popping up at balena, because that’s just my fav.

Ahh too bad because balenaEtcher just werks for me.

TLDR:

  • Spent a third of their initial funding on buying a small clothing factory to give away free shirts to the first 20k subscribers (Noble act from them imo, but financially irresponsible to buy a factory for this)
  • Didn’t pay taxes in the first 2 years (Apparently under 1000 users they don’t need to do taxes or sm and haven’t expected 20k users)
  • CEO (Vlad) thinks AI can give you unbiased reviews
  • Author finds AI tools bullshit and Kagi is doing and planning a lot of AI related stuffs
  • CEO is very opinionated and thinks that difference in opinions are “misunderstandings”
  • CEO personally writes emails to unsubscribed people about why they have left
  • Doesn’t have GDPR cause CEO thinks email isn’t a personally identifiable information

Probably I have forgot some stuff, but this is the gist of it for me.

It is definitely miles ahead in finding genuine content, but paying 10 usd for unlimited or 5 usd for 300 searches is too much for my wallet. I’m hoping if they get enough users then maybe they can introduce another price lowering attempt or pray that I can opt into a family plan with friends.

Well ALVR has a plethora of settings to optimize, but even by following the wiki settings, like changing from UDP to TCP and such, my quality was still lower + now I can’t even make ALVR run. Maybe I’ve missed some crucial setting, who knows.

Well change can only be done through voicing disapproval first, although Google will most definitely won’t stop the data gathering in Maps.

Well It’s understandable if a lot of people wouldn’t switch over to OSM-based apps. I’ve tried OSMAnd, and I observe 3 drawbacks. Lengthy public transport calculation (fair since it’s computing on the phone), no reviews in POI areas (really hard to catch up on), weird results in transportations

Which apps began to interoperate with FB Messenger?
Meta has already announced interopability opportunity since March 6. Has anything been made after that? All I know is that Signal apparently won't operate with them.

Yeah and it’s kinda hard to get off from that. I’m in the process of switching my 2 gmail accounts to 2 proton ones and it seems that the ProtonMail app’s free plan doesn’t support multiple emails. Understandable but sad.

What’s the issue? Do you have an error? There’s a high chance that someone have already gotten your error and asked about it in the Discord. If I’m right there should be a separate channel with troubleshooting.

It’s Genshin, but the anime game launcher team begs for the users to not refer to their repo directly with (it’s FOSS) link. I just assume I shouldn’t use the official names of the games either, but that’s maybe carrying too far.

I think the anime Zelda and Honkers games have different teams. Maybe Honkers idea can be more “forgivable” that they just launched and we got grouped into the hackers temporarily, but also anime Zelda had it’s Linux launcher up from like 1.2 if I’m right and we got zero ban issues,

Checkout anime game launcher’s Discord. The laucnher was primarily made for the anime Zelda game (can’t say the name) but their Discord has Honkers channels too, so probably they have done some way for Honkers linux gaming too I guess.

Be warned tho, when Honkers first started they banned a lot of linux players who used the anime game launcher (anime Zelda never banned anyone). I don’t know if Honkers changed their stance on Linux users, haven’t checked it.

EDIT: Search for “The Honkers Railway Game”

Yeah a Piped option would be pretty great tbh, and probably most people wouldn’t notice the additional latency maybe?

Wouldn’t interacting through Piped just introduce an additional communication layer, which makes interacting with YT slower? I see your argument with Piped, but what would be the pros of using Piped which outweighs the additional communication costs?

Apple and FOSS is dedinitely an antithesis but it’s kinda rude to disapprove Apple that heavily, even though I’m a hater too.

What political views? The crypto shilling and advertising his site?

Mental Outlaw if I want to see a funny corpo le bad video.

Eric Murphy if I’m more serious.

Seems like a sketchy site. Hard pass.

Wow I love your website’s style? Was this done with static HTML or with a JS framework?

Haven’t heard of wire. Is the name a Lain reference, perhaps?

Wait did Krita already became an industry standard in the painting scene?

Didn’t Roblox make an update lately where they unblocked the Linux gaymers?

Ahhh that’s reasonable. Thank you for the info!

Why is Brave Search considered as heavily censored?

Thank you for the idea. Definitely will dwelve into it!

I’m not sure about mesa, all I know that vulkan is working. Thank you for the help tho, luckily I managed to fix the problem for half of the games!

Oh thank you for throwing the light on Teardown! ^^

Oh sry I forgot to mention it:

New PC: 7600X + 6700 XT, 6.3.9-arch1-1, EndevaourOS w/ Wayland

Laptop: 4800H + 1650 ti, 6.1+ probably, EndevaourOS w/ Wayland

Performance still stayed the same with renice -12 on SIFU’s 3 most used processes, but the CPU usage is indicated as over 100+%, although the actual threads don’t indicate that. Unfortunately running SIFU from the terminal crashes the game, so couldn’t use nice on it. The flac codec is already installed.

Several games don't run (itch.io games) or run unbearably slowly (SIFU, HighFleet, Teardown) on Wine with my new PC (7600X + 6700XT), even though for example Highfleet worked flawlessly on my laptop. (4800H + 1650ti) For SIFU I have tried 8.11, ProtonGE 8.8, Lutris 7.2.2 with the same results. (Picture is from ProtonGE 8.8). I wasn't able to try Proton Experimental since this is a pirated version. (Sorry I fully know that pirating indie games isn't ethical, I have my reasons) EDIT: Previously I have tried switching back to X11 but didn't solve the issue in Highfleet's case. I'm using EndevaourOS with 6.3.9-arch1-1 kernel version with Vulkan running (tested with vkcube). SOLUTION: It seems DXVK wasn't installed, so by following this guide (How to Use) https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk fixed Dave the Diver and SIFU for me, but Teardown and Highfleet is still problematic. It's interesting since DXVK is enabled for all of the 4 games in Lutris. - 1: Download the newest DXVK release tar.gz (https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases) - 2: Copy the dlls over to your wineprefix (wineprefix is probably located in $HOME/.wine) `export WINEPREFIX=/path/to/wineprefix cp x64/*.dll $WINEPREFIX/drive_c/windows/system32' cp x32/*.dll $WINEPREFIX/drive_c/windows/syswow64' winecfg` - 3: In the winecfg (the opened app) go to Libraries and in the "new override..." listbox, add those dlls which you copied over. Add those dlls which are present in dxvk-<version-number>/x64 if you ls them.

Great question. All I know that my Ryzen 7 4800H and 1650ti laptop can handle a bunch of wine game, but my 7600X and 6700XT setup barely runs wine games, and most of them are seriously laggy.
