As someone with expertise in some niche fields:

They’re almost always wrong about everything, and when someone tries to correct them, with sources, they get downvoted.



That’s great and all, for tech sectors, but I’m not going to judge Joe’s Landscaping or Carol’s Cupcakes for using Gmail and quite frankly Joe and Carol are probably better off missing out on those clients.


If there’s one thing the corporate world takes seriously, it’s concerns about the Googleopoly.


People said Gmail was unprofessional in 2005, don’t worry too much about what business majors think.


The current criticism is that they’re trying to turn into Fox Jr, with that clown show of a Trump town hall and such.


As they should. That said, other than some presumably rare scripters Riot really did make an incredibly well balanced (don’t @ me salt lords) and easy player experience free of any obvious cheaters.

I wasted far too much of life on that game, and let it frustrate me way too much, but that doesn’t mean I won’t still log in every season and crush some noobs (and get crushed right back) until I hit Gold and can go back to ignoring it for another year, and I’ve never been able to say that about another game for ten years in a row.

But this…

This might finally set me free.

Google must never know I can’t remember how to spell irreconcilable


With only one country doing this, they can soak the cost, but the ARPU (average revenue per user) of Facebook, or any social media site, is actually quite low. It literally costs them money to operate in the country now.

The question becomes “How many other countries can do the same before we are forced to care?”

Fun Fact: Reddit had the lowest ARPU of any major social media.
