Is it safe to disable all permissions of system apps using shizuku and permission manager x ?

do restricing permission to system apps cause bootloop ? Or any crash in the system that eventually lead to a factory reset to make my device usable again ?

Is there any guides available for this ?

There are different levels to the approach. I went through each class of ermissions to see which app used them and stopped LOTS. I thought I was going to make my phone useless, but everything works just fine.

I recommend the universal android debloater: https://github.com/Universal-Debloater-Alliance/universal-android-debloater-next-generation

It has good recommendations.

I think its more about debloat than apps permissions.

the debloater is a good resource for what system apps do, and whether or not they are actually needed.

Or just flash a clean rom. Was while since i debloated, a lot of trial and error, and not much gain. I dont know what phone you have but I’m quite sure there is something for most models. XDA forum is a good resource

Keep the bootloader unlocked and adb enabled in case you mess up.

I would recommend not touching system apps unless you have a very good reason for doing so. And be willing to risk breaking your device.

I don’t think it will cause boot errors if you don’t mess with important apps like grub.

Actually how to know what permissions are essential for important apps like grub and not ? Like android system need permission to location ? Is it ok to disable that permission ?

For example, DO NOT touch the android package. Read their descriptions via UAD or Canta or something, then revoke perms.

It is per package basis. It is generally advisable to not touch low level packages.

Low level means ? In canta like the unsafe and expert list of s/m apps ?

Low level means more important and critical things. For example, decreasing brightness on your phone is a high level thing, installing app is slightly lower, developer mode is lower, rooting your phone is even lower.
