This list looks about right to me
Just a reminder for anyone using Facebook and Facebook messenger, they are separate apps and you need to set permissions to your liking on them separately. By default they both have pretty much everything enabled.
Everything i expect
Waiting for threads to be available through other ActivePub instances like mastodon. Being free from giants, yet having the possibility to access their content.
Beuatiful spyware
Not touching that. Haha.
YSK Meta is also a threat to the privacy of fediverse users, if there are fediverse instances that remain federated with Meta.

Isn’t this information that can be just as meaningfully scraped from the Fediverse as it is? And if they truly need to operate an instance to scrape that data whats to stop them from simply operating an instance and failing to advertise that it’s owned and operated by Meta?
are a lot of these options not opt-in at the system level? on iOS at least. i know they can approximate a lot using ad tracking but not health info on the phone if you don’t allow it
On Android all permissions are disabled by default
Pretty much as expected. :)
If server admins federate with Meta, I will be looking for a new server.
Meta apps and shady Flashlight/Calculator apps, the two at 80mph, who wins?
Marty at 88mph back to MySpace and simpler times. I miss Tom.
Would an android user not be able to restrict the vast majority of these pulls?
Yes, I have achieved this by not installing any meta apps.
The true sigma move
Sure, but many apps will refuse to work when not giving in to their demands. If an app does that I uninstall it faster than I installed it though
Holy fuck
This should not be allowed. Anywhere. This is insane and scary, considering the vast majority will simply not give a shit and install anyway.
app store: Please check your data security failures.
facebook: thinks
facebook: I’ll take the lot!
To be fair, I bet most apps probably track the same. But meta (probably for legal reasons) has to tell you about it.
Without asking for the permissions they might not get far though
