Curious for any input on this -
I want to finish migrating off the gmail I’ve had since 2004.
I’ve moved everything vital, utilities, banks, financial services, doctors, vets, etc, to proton.
But what about spammy or untrusted services, or general e-commerce? Think sweetwater, etsy, newegg, etc.
I could create an alias in proton, but I really like being able to have notifications on for the proton mail app; if someone emails me there it actually matters.
So, I don’t want to lose access to these services, and I don’t want to give them an email that matters. Do I need another provider? Is there a better solution?
Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.

much thanks to @gary_host_laptop for the logo design :)
I use a SimpleLogin alias and delete it once I’m done with it. SimpleLogin is a Proton service.
I use Simple Login a lot too. But be careful, as some sites reject these email addresses. Or in the case of Shell Recharge, change their business logic to reject the email addresses without letting me change to another email … Haven’t been able to log in for months 🙃
This must be why my personal domain stopped working
I love SimpleLogin, have my own gmail forwarding to an alias until I eventually get rid of it and have aliases for every site I need an email address for.
