- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn’t great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don’t promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

No proof = scaremongering
Yes, Signal is not perfect, but I have no reason to believe that they are in any way compromised.
That’s what open source and encryption are for
Open source and encryption don’t mean 0 days don’t exist.
Having some familiarity with Signal, I have very few ideas on even theoretically how it would be “compromised”.
Edit: and if this were a very different thread on the right instance, I’d be interested in swapping around ideas. But not here
The common claim is the simple fact that it’s hosted on AWS infrastructure. Of course no one has any evidence for that either.

The Signal client uses AES, so this is no reason to stop using Signal. But it’s still true that Signal is hosted on AWS.
