And since you won’t be able to modify web pages, it will also mean the end of customization, either for looks (ie. DarkReader, Stylus), conveniance (ie. Tampermonkey) or accessibility.

Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.

- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn’t great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don’t promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered

I’m a software engineer. I know what a
TODOis.My point is that privacy should have been a core design consideration, not something you factor in and handle later as a secondary concern. Put another way: the initial problem thesis that they wrote a proposal to solve should have included the idea of user privacy as a core element.
It’s a matter of incorrectly prioritized design goals that yield something which has very obvious potential to be actively harmful to users.
