I wrote about the brand new Nexus mods app before, as it's quite a promising and exciting development for the future of modding (especially for Linux and Steam Deck). And now, they want your feedback.

Yesterday, July 1st, they announced the Alpha release of this next-generation mod manager and their new Product Manager got in touch to mention they “would be really keen to get feedback from Linux users”. So this is your chance to ensure Linux (and Steam Deck) finally become a first-class citizen for game modding.

some says something factually wrong

Never Happened

gets corrected

Also never happenened

then the argument of “you just try to dunk on my for fake internet points” come up… sigh

People will stop saying it when it stops being true.

You didn’t list a single reason why you CAN’T hook up any PC with Linux and create a “console”.

Once again with the strawman. Scroll up and read again. I know this is the conversation you may have been having in your head that you were “winning”, but it’s not the one that is taking place here. I’ll go ahead and ignore the rest of your comment since it’s predicated on a statement no one made.

The point is you can’t just slap any old Linux distro on any old laptop and Bob’s Your Uncle, it’s a Steam Deck, as was casually stated in the comment I initially replied to. There’s a lot more work involved, and even then you lack much of the hardware that makes the SD special.
