You’re losing anonymity, when you log into your VPN through TOR
TOR gives you anonymity, but if you connect through TOR to your VPN, which you probably registered with some of your data (or maybe your real IP), all the hops through TOR are useless, because your VPN connection is associated with you.
It really depends on who you want to hide from.
If it’s your ISP, then connecting over VPN to TOR could make sense, when your ISP is restrictive regarding TOR. But that’s pretty much the only usecase I can come up with at the moment
With a HDMI-CEC Adapter it could be, that you can even use your TV remote to control your PC/Kodi
Not sure if your TV supports it - as I’m not much of a TV guy and don’t know, if you need any higher standard for that
But I’m quite happy with an old laptop + Kodi, linked up to my TV. Works quite well.
Only have to go through some audio settings for modern movies, where the sound mixing is usually not nice for dialogues…
Signal doesn’t provide such open and easily found chat rooms.
It’s really much more a messenger (with group chats, but those you have to manually set up)
So it’s not an “open” place like telegram and with that not as attractive for advertising illicit services or products.
besides that, Signal is the technically much more secure variant. No discussion about it.
I recently got myself a Pixel 7 Pro. the preinstalled OS really tries to push all the Google stuff on you, which isn’t great.
but after a quick look around for 1 hour, I installed GrapheneOS and am very happy with it
although I’d really like to have a Linux smartphone. but there seems to be none with good hardware…
Python is not a problem
SW Dev is my job. Just never had real contact with AI before, besides playing around a bit.
Thank you very much for the link!!
Edit: thank you very much again, that was pretty much exactly what I was looking for.
Don’t know how I missed to checkout huggingface. Thought of it always just as a github for models and didn’t bother checking for docs…
But that’s a great intro with simple tools/tutorials to get a grip on it, thanks!
