As others have mentioned, DNS is probably your worst enemy. It doesn’t take much technical knowledge to just create a DNS server and start logging all domains you’re accessing. Say, to tell mom how often you’re browsing porn or something.
Manually configuring DNS servers in your OS would resolve this issue, but also using VPN like mullivad would just bypass such worries with 99% certainty.
Or just keep using mobile data, because why not
The story does not tell us how Linus Torvalds responded to the NSA, but I’m guessing he told them he wouldn’t be able to inject backdoors even if he wanted to, since the source code is open, and all changes to it are reviewed by many independent people.
Yeah I’m guessing the answer would be more colorful based on the historical data we have
Unlike Google, XScreenSaver will never run around and desert you.
Goddamnit
Tempmail.com and temp-mail.org are blocking tor users. Tested some other random service that works, but proton blocked their mail domains
You can’t create proton account anonymously very easily. If attempting to create account using for, you’re prompted to enter phone number or existing email iirc.
Edit: just tested, existing email is needed. This already tells they do not want people to create accounts in a privacy respecting way even if it’s somewhat trivial to bypass if you know how
Nope, but OP mentioned in the post that they’re sketched off from their brother who’s in control of the home network
