The suyu devs do not understand the legalities behind why yuzu was shut down. It wasn’t because of keys. It was because it could break copyright protection mechanisms, which is in violation of the dmca.

The suyu devs think that by saying, “we don’t support piracy, you have to provide your own keys” is enough, and there’s case law to show it isn’t. Your project needs to be incapable of breaking copyright protection mechanisms with or without keys.

Hdmi is a proprietary format controlled by companies that sell hdmi equipment. They have no benefit to having an open standard. They pay $15k a year each to keep it closed.

For the way modern stuff works, it does. If you want notifications that don’t chew through battery life on Android or notifications at all on iOS, then it needs to go through the respective notification services.

We /could/ design ways that this wouldn’t be an issue and entirely local push notifications could be a thing. But it’s not how your devices work today.

it’s not illegal to put account deletion behind a login at all. Its also legal for them to request identification.

However if you request data deletion and they have no valid exception to avoid doing that they must comply, it doesn’t matter if they have a mechanism for deletion that you can use, they have to still delete the data even if you don’t press the “delete account” button.

you can file a complaint with your countries regulatory departments but if they refuse to press the delete account button for you, there’s not much else you can do outside of that.

Soo… this whole thing is about the eu not the uk. Which are (now) different things. The uk dropped their dumb idea with a “when this is technically possible” restriction, which it won’t be because maths isn’t changing anytime soon.

The eu thing is different and technically possible.

Premium absolutely does not cost them money fwiw, it wouldn’t exist if it did, they aren’t that stupid.
