I see them all the time. The only places I can think of that I haven’t seen them are places that use cloth napkins.

I mean I don’t go out to eat a lot either but presumably more than you (since you said you don’t eat out)

Agreed, it’s unfortunate that some people rely on it for work.

Personally I only go on there unintentionally when I don’t look at the link I am clicking on beforehand

That’s crazy. Just read this and I’m just mystified

I got a job from it once.

It was the worst experience of my life. I quit after a few weeks.

Thanks for sharing this OP. I turned on the notifications for my browser, and when I went on FB (thru firefox, not app) one of the connection notifications was to a website I went on once a few weeks or even a month ago. I knew it was creepy but damn.

I do have ublock origin but obviously that’s not enough. I wish i could get rid of FB but there’s 2 things i haven’t been able to replicate elsewhere.

I’m just flabbergasted but wanted to say thanks.

So for me, it shows up in my settings but netguard does not show it. Did i do something wrong setting up netguard?

Also, does anyone know if my carrier will get mad if i remove it? I do technically owe money on my phone (they give me a credit each month so i dont have to pay it)

🤔

I tried the two profiles and I love it! Still figuring things out but this is going to work well.

I like this. I may do that two profiles since it sounds easy to switch between.

Degoogling - can someone ELI5 how certain apps work on Graphene OS?
Hi, I am (very, very early) in the process of degoogling. I am definitely not a high risk as far as needing to be completely locked down. It's more about trying to have a little more control over how my data is used. I am looking at Graphene OS, but I am a little confused how certain apps (that rely on Google services) work. I have a Pixel 8 and will have it for the foreseeable future. The apps I currently use that I would still need (or their equivalents) are: * Clash Royale (Supercell) * Notion (Notion Labs) * Clickup (Mango Technologies) * Business Calendar 2 (Appgenix) 1. If I installed these exact apps "sandboxed", what exactly does that mean from a user standpoint? Will I have to use a separate account, reboot my phone, etc, or is it a quick process to use the app? 2. Is there a list of apps that I could browse to find equivalents to the above? Recommendations here are also ok. 3. I saw that Firefox isn't exactly private(?) and that Vanadium is better in that aspect but I don't understand why. Can someone ELI5, and help me see if this is a relevant concern for me? Thank you! 😁
