As a Dane myself, assuming the entire country is pro-surveillance annoys me to no end. Just a few weeks ago there was enough signatures to send in a proposal to folketinget to stop this insanity.

Yeah, in theory I’m pro-crypto, except that people are treating crypto more like stocks than anything else which is what gives me the ick.

I hadn’t even used Odysee before, but just a cursory look I did find someone whose content I enjoy there, Naomi Brockwell. From the looks of it, it has some sort of crypto feature? (ew)
Also, how in the world does decentralization work there? There’s only one website, that’s odysee.com, that doesn’t seem very decentralized to me.

I’m just so sick of the censorship on youtube, and the shadowbanning of comments. It feels like 90% of my comments aren’t seen by anyone, not even myself.

To some extent you’re right. There’d be less content if nobody paid. But imagine current society without treats. I don’t know if capitalism without “panem et circenses” would start to crumble real fast.

You are right, it does say on the page that it’s singleplayer only, I haven’t tested if the multiplayer maps work, that might be the restriction to snapmaps.

I don’t know, I booted into the game clicked SnapMaps and I was able to play some custom made maps. This is the first time I start up the game though, so not sure what it is. Custom maps by the looks of it? Only like 11 maps available though.

I haven’t had any luck getting it to run either, and I’ve tried quite a few different proton versions, both via heroic games launcher but also via bottles. No luck at all.

EDIT: Asked someone on nobara’s discord and they suggested installing “vcrun2022” via winetricks, and sure enough, that made it start. Maybe there’s some DLL file that mfc140 and vcrun2022 share that was needed?

Glad to hear it’s working for you again. I did look around on yt-dlp’s github issue tracker and found one issue where the problem was that a user was downloading using a datacenter IP. I gather from this that it might’ve been a problem caused by your ISP perhaps giving you an IP that youtube sees as suspicious, or perhaps youtube messing up with their filters causing you to appear as suspicious by accident.
