Yeah it’s gone full-circle like the whole situation with streaming services becoming cable. Funny how the world works so similarly in different places.

I might know the answer beforehand, but still: Does it change anything regarding data collection if I turn off my location on android in the top menu?

If only Riot could do this for league, I’d be so happy. 50% of my games in low elo have ppl going afk in the midgame and you know they just hop onto the next account.

Also, just because people have “switched” to wireless doesn’t mean that they don’t have a pair of old wired headphones still lying around somewhere, unused, eventually turning into e-waste.

Another use-case for the headphone jack: I use it to connect my phone to various audio devices, e. g. E-drums for practising playback or the practice room PA tolisten to demos. Nearly all professional equipment uses wired connections.

Google is pushing some bullshit that would allow websites to check if a client (you, your browser, your device) is on the okie-dokey list. If yes, you may enter e. g. Youtube, if not the you’re out. It’s like a bouncer for websites and of course Google would be that bouncer. So you might stand out in the rain if you are using one of the following:

  • VPN

  • Adblock

  • Non-Chromium browser like Firefox
