This. I don’t play those games but other Linux gamers do.

I can’t wait to try it with Wayland and Steam.
I mainly play games with my Linux PC.

I have an Nvidia 3080 and use Ubuntu. It auto installed the Nvidia driver and works well with Steam.

I use Ubuntu for my gaming PC. I use it like a PS5 or XBox- I turn the PC on, it auto logs in, auto runs Steam in Big Picture Mode. I use my Xbox controller to select and launch the games I play. I really have not turned on my PS5 in months. And games I was considering buying for the PS5, I will get for my Linux PC. I even add non steam games to my Steam library and play them with Proton/steam.

Currently playing Baldur’s Gate 3 and Lords of the Fallen. Both on maxed settings. Looks and plays great.

Steam has really helped Linux gaming become easy.

This is good. I have been an Nvidia user for years-started on Windows and keep it on Linux.

I am playing Baldur’s Gate 3 (can’t say enough great things about this game) and they had a toggle in the game setting for upscaling options. And DLSS runs great with my Linux PC. I thought I heard Larian say they are trying to get XeSS too.

You can enable either Nvidia’s DLSS or AMD’s FSR via the settings menu.

Steam Link is great to steam your Gaming PC to where you want to play you games. I use it with my Nvidia Shield to play games in my bedroom.

I built my Linux gaming PC with 23.04 Ubuntu. It has kernel 6.2. Easy to install. Uses my Xbox and PS5 controller. Runs great with my Nvidia graphics card.

But you may want to try a few different distro and see which one you like.

Everyone can overlook something simple. Hope you get it fixed. Let us know.

I just checked mine and it’s running with Proton Experimental. This was turned on with the global setting to use Proton Experimental for all other titles in the compatibility settings.

I launched it and maybe you have to hit the Baldur’s Gate button under the tutorial? Then Single Player?

Have you tried Proton Experimental? Or an older version of Proton.
