Hi other privacy people :)
I am currently looking for a fitness tracker that at least doesn't need a proprietary app to get the data out of it. Haven't really found any recent articles that look into that aspect of fitness trackers, any advice?
I know about the bangle.js but wanted to know if there is more. Also, if you have this device and use it to track your running, I would be happy to read your review!
Thanks in advance!
Edit:
Solution for me was to adjust the settings of opentracks. Before it recorded only every 10 metres.
Additionally I ordered a chest strap for my heart rate. Brand is Polar, they seem to be good about not needing their own app to get your data.
Since a lot of people have recommended antennapod: does anyone of you also have that weird problem where podcasts randomly skip backwards from anywhere as little as five seconds to a minute during normal playback?
The initial idea and the aspect of “fuck the banks” intrigued me. Of course now the space is filled with scams and weird crypto dudes (srsly, why so many dudes?) and I have lost faith that the money schemes of the world will ever change.
Hey community
I got Disgaea 4 on steam last nigjt, unfortunately I get stuck on the initial "Now loading" screen, after the intro video. However this happens around 4 out of 5 times and sometimes it works.
Does anyone else have this problem? I haven't found a solution for this on protonDB either, sadly.
Running up to date EndeavourOS.
A while ago I read about a study where they showed how they recreated typed text on a computer keyboard based on the sound the keys made, using AI. I can’t seem to find the post right now tho.
Problem: you csn’t use split tunneling with this solution, so if you want to connect to your local devices at home, that won’t work.
