Statewatch | US access to EU citizens’ biometric data: ministers approve EU negotiating mandate

EU ministers have agreed to launch negotiations on an agreement that would grant US border agencies direct access to personal data stored in EU member state databases, and give EU agencies similar access to US data. The US is demanding access to the databases of all states that are part of its Visa Waiver Programme, for “immigration screening and vetting activities.” This is part of a broader plan to massively increase the amount of sensitive data gathered on travellers.

Make the visa waiver program opt-in then. People who have no interest in visiting fascist shithole countries shouldn’t be forced to have their data shared.

Will EU use US data more or US will use EU’s?
And for what purposes? I wished those ministers would stop and question that

Unfortunately, reciprocal demands to the US to rebuke them, is pretty meaningless when they don’t care about their citizens data privacy at all.
Fair enough… Tis what I get for jumping the scroll. Makes me wonder if that’s a deal breaker on the MAGA side.
So, for EU citizens this means, if they visit US, that EU will also have their DNA, if I’m not wrong?
