For gym next to me you need smart card and also fingerprint to enter 🤣. Im happy I dont do any workouts

Whats the difference between using Revanced or NewPipe?

While you have to open a port for wireguard, it doesnt respond to anything other than your clients with a key. It should be safe enough without any maintenance, but security updates are always a good idea. If you don’t want to open port there are alternatives like tailscale or zerotier, but I have never tried them

Everyone is being polite, while we are the only ones who are amazed by our newborns 😀

Hehe, I like your theory, but here is mine:

There are two people, those who bought bitcoin and those who didnt. Who ever bought it, made a profit because bitcoin is at all time high price right now 🙃

Im no expert and Im not trying to protect crypto, but this is bullshit. Its a wild market and there is a lot of scam going around it. Its like saying ebay or aliexpress is absolutely a scam. Im owning crypto for 8 years and while I did experience a scam (nicehash), most of the experience was not like that. Was mining, trading, bought loads of appliances and computer components, withdrawals…

Dont have a good suggestion for OP tho, but maybe local forums have trade topics where you can find a seller and meet them in person. Its been much easier 5 years ago, but seems like almost everyone is asking for ID nowdays

Its awesome if you have some, its basically all time high price these days 😉

I dont know is Connect FOSS, but its amazing. I used to be on liftoff, but its not maintained anymore

You trust health care professionals because they save your life and help with your health. We would not survive for long if we trust only people who use graphaneOS and linux lol

Sounds good for users who care about privacy, but couldnt continue reading because…da fuk! I hate subsctiptions. Im probably mad for no reason lol

What non KYC exchange exist today do you know? I guess I could use one in the future when I decide to exchange from crypto to crypto or from crypto to $

Ok I see Coinbase is 1, but it used to be 2 AFAIK. Ill probably use my old phone, will try it these days.

Thank you for the list, its much more clear now

Thank you a lot for detailed answer

Quite low, but dont know exactly. I transfered from coinbase to revolut and then to my bank account and it cost me ~15€ for 2k€ transaction

Is it enough to keep 12 words safe? Is there any other way to backup? Not sure what you meant with multi-sig and shamirs

Ive heard about paper wallet, but honestly I cant keep my papers safe enough to trust that approach.

Thanks. This looks perfect and I have an old phone that I could use for that. But im bit worried if I dont use wallet for 5 years and then realize the old phone is not working anymore. I can still recover with seeds (12 word backup) right? I guess Im asking the question that has the answer already, but want to be sure

Best place to keep cripto
I have some Bitcoin and Ethereum on Coinbase since 2018. Coinbase never failed me, but they ask for more and more personal details. Last requests made me look for alternatives. I read wasabi is one of the best privacy focused wallets, but what do you use? Im not trying to hide anything from goverment or anything like that, I just want safe place for coins that doesnt feel like someone is tracking every single step I make Edit: made sentence more clear

I dont know why you got downvote. Seems like perfect backup if stored somewhere safe. Am I missing something?

Im using bitwarden free for passwords only. I might try vaultwarden

Who knows my phone number if I use Aegis?

Thank you all for tips. I got Aegis and backing it up to my selfhosted nextcloud. I will also keep google app in use for now, but I might get keypassxc or vaultwarden in the future

Cheers

Yes, I just did it. Go to google auth - transfer accounts - you get QR code, screenshot it - and import in Aegis

Most comments recommend aegis, Im installing it right now. Thx

I was afraid of using keypassxc since I dont trust myself, but using it as a backup sounds like amazing solution. Thank you

Thx, looks perfect!

How to backup 2FA
So basically what title says. Im using 2FA with google authenticator for multiple accounts. What if my phone gets stolen? Can I have some kind of backup? Or maybe sync with some self hosted service? Bonus question: what 2FA should I use instead of google?

Id like to know is it worth to get valetudo. I see some dissasembly and soldering required (warranty void) and not sure do I lose any functions. Maybe there is something betterfor s7?

Anyone have experience with roborock s7 ultra with valetudo or simmilar?

I understand the hate, especially in this community. IMO not all crypto companies are shit, but nicehash is leader in being shit 😉

I had a simmilar situation with Nicehash (crypto shit company), but I had 2fa enabled and just wanted to unsubscribe from useless newsletters. They asked for a photo of me holding a paper with my personal information. Still didnt solve that, but some comments here might help, following

I never tried, but Im sure it does. I have tasmota on klipper (mainsal) right now, but found this on moonraker:

type:

The type of device. Can be either gpio, klipper_device, rf,

tplink_smartplug, tasmota, shelly, homeseer, homeassistant, loxonev1,

smartthings, mqtt or hue.

This parameter must be provided.

This should be possible to mount in the wall switch hole behind existing switch. You can still use normal switch or automate to your liking. There are dual devices for dual switch as well. I never used one, but planning to get some soon

10-15 years ago students on my uni shared all juicy content on facebook groups. I never made account because I didnt like that shit (and I still dont), not because I was worried about privacy. The thing is I missed some usefull information and it made my life bit harder. I can imagine even more important content on social media today, but I would probably miss them again :)

I see that selfie is the only solution to unsubscribe (if not involving lawyer or just spam filter).

I understand what you are saying, but If I lost my email why would they send newsletter to a new owner? It just makes no sense since 99% can be unsubscribed with no login or whatever they ask.

Sorry, its hard to accept any safety meassure as explanation due to bad reputation of NiceHash. Also after talking to human support I just feel even less safe tbh, but it doesnt surprise me at all, its company that took my crypto back in a day.

Ill try fake pic when I get some time to burn

Hehe, I dont blame you for approving that as a punishment. I feel lucky for not losing more than 50-100$

Hello nice people, I've been using NiceHash app for some time 5-6 years ago. (It was a simple app for mining cryptocurrency and you get paid in bitcoin on their wallet, then you could transfer bitcoin to another wallet.) It was working fine until they got hacked (or fooled us) and lost all crypto. Luckily I didn't loose much like some guys did. I decided not to use the service anymore and I'm still receiving stupid e-mail newsletters. I tried to unsubscribe and It asks me for login, I know password, but don't have 2fa anymore. Also I don't have backup 16 words. Now support told me that this is the only way and I feel ridiculous about taking selfie just to unsubscribe. Am I protected against this somehow? I live in Europe and I think Nicehash is located in neighbourhood. And of course I never wanted to subscribe...and I don't think I ever verified account with a document. What are my options other than just filtering that shitty domain as spam? edit: typo
