I know. I am worried that the UK government could force devs to hand over the private keys to those end-to-end encryption apps under this new law.

I would hope no corporation would actually obey something so insane.

We really need some kind of FOSS encryption service that can’t just be compromised like that.

🤔 Do you think they could force devs to fork over private keys to blockchains like Bitcoin?

You’re missing the greater point, and that’s the problem. Think about what we’re all trying to tell you for five minutes.

And I took your comment as immature negativity only to find out it’s jealous whining at best and concern trolling and forum sliding at worst.

You’re not going to win the argument. All you’re going to do is make things worse. You’re not going to stop us from supporting Firefox in their time of need, or France’s, or the Internet. It’s just not gonna happen.

So go find something better to do with your free time and let the adults talk.

And if you bothered to invest a fifth of a third of a quarter of the energy you’re putting into being defensive into helping solve the problem, we wouldn’t be here.

Keep trying to avoid admitting the truth all you want to, you’re still wrong about this.

You should just build one yourself, put it on a disc or flash drive and install it for them.

How the fuck could a law like that possibly be enforceable? Mozilla should just tell them to go fuck themselves, offer alternative IPs so people can get around country-wide DNS blocks, and then go about their day. Who cares what some spineless country wants?

Meaning now I cannot use any phone and am now locked out of the modern age.

Your refusal to admit a problem does not remove that problem.

Most people’s phones actually do, especially iPhone users, so that’s not true.

Actually they are, because Google controls 90% of the internet, most cell phones while Apple controls the rest and does the same, meaning we consumers don’t get a choice.

We’re just slaves.

I’d rather Youtube and Google itself be split up under anti-trust laws. I don’t want them to exist.

I’d rather people build smaller video websites for niche subjects so the internet is decentralized to the extent it was when it first started.

Or just pay for Nebula or some other independent video site run by Youtubers.
