The situation is dire in the UK. Surveillance up and about everywhere — it never stops. It seems like none of the politicians actually listen to anyone other than the GCHQ experts!

  1. Use privacy respecting cryptocurrencies for exchanges. This can be done between two individuals or at businesses, especially small businesses.
  2. Yes, it seems like they’re doing it on a consensus level in the UK. This is because consumers would rather use banking apps because it is convenient for them.
  3. In the UK it is very common to use a card and contactless payment. It’s very concerning because this trend is bringing the government to trace UK bank accounts to prevent “fraud”. Which could target people on benefits for instance. Many are worried that benefits claimants will have their application scrutinized based on their spending habits. Disability rights is now becoming a political conversation about how and where they spend their money, which is mortifying.

We need people to actually verify the safety and validity of these platforms. As far as I think, if we’re not able to validate the code as open source, how can we know what these companies are doing with our data?

Does this even effect GrapheneOS? Could they not use their own package installer by getting rid of the installer code?

Both ends need working on. I think creating and supporting new movements require change, it starts with individuals fighting for more rights on a microscopic level. Shifting to GrapheneOS will accelerate Google to make changes for the good of all of us.

Be wise and patient. I think our older politicians don’t accept these concepts, but as our young grow into old then we’ve got a platform to fight for.
