  • So far this is the only discussion about its privacy …

  • I’m currently using it as a daily driver on PC ( switched from Mercury browser ) and even though it’s still in Alpha , it works fine and I didn’t face any problems with it

The fact that all of these softwares are owned by one company is creepy , regardless of Israel

On desktop I use Mercury Browser - a Firefox fork - but I’m not sure how " privacy focused " it is other than that it’s Firefox based

On Android I use Brave Browser , because it meets my needs , while it was good compared to other browsers in privacy tests , I still won’t recommend it 100% for privacy for the following reason ( unless you’re ok with changing some settings to make it more private ) :

If you care about your privacy , you can read this browser check series for both desktop and mobile ( in German , you might need a translator ) by security expert Kuketz , the rest of the browsers are linked in the same page

I know , but won’t that affect my storage if I added +1000 password ?

Using Proton Pass was a game changer to me , I don’t have to ignore the necessity to put a strong and complicated password for security reasons anymore, Proton generate it to me and stores everything ( so I don’t need to remember which password I set for which account ) But the bad aspects of cloud services worry me a little about this: the possibility of a security breach of the service, or the possibility of not being able to access it for any reason is a real disaster if it happens… so I’m thinking of exporting my passwords to another safe place for such cases.
