Cheapest model Pixel with grapheneOS?

Still an issue to get grapheneOS on there but far better than whatever most stock phones will come with

Destroy? Sell that shit. Or buy the burner device in the US and return it before leaving.

There’s nothing to know; facebook is facebook, and nobody trusts facebook for data security. Whatsapp is not, nor will it ever be, true end to end encryption, when facebook owns the locks and keys.

Texting and chats are my preferred form of contact i guess; haven’t really been to a doctor in stares into the distance

Aaaanyway, yeah i suppose I do use it for support. I use my work email plenty, its just for personal email i dont really “use” like that.

Id say I’m amongst the oldest gen-Z or youngest millennials?

Tbh i just don’t send email. All i use it for is accounts that don’t let you use a username, receiving shipping information, and sales ads for things I’m actually interested in.

Only time I might actually need to send and reapond to emails is if I’m job hunting.

Working on abandoning the gmail accounts entirely tbh. Until then, the native gmail filtering (primary/social/promotions) keeps those inboxes usable. 10+ years of ad spam from signing up for shit… literally a hundred or so emails a day.

SMS is janky outside of the Owner profile. Unfortunately my workplace requires me to respond to SMS at times.

It does not sandbox you out of googles Single Sign-On (SSO), ie, if you sign into any google account in any google app, it will sign you in as that account across all google apps on that profile. I wanted to sign into gmail but not tie the google account to google messages (for RCS).

Unless someone feels like breaking into a datacenter (and likely several cold backup facilities) and mechanically wiping data, that shit is there forever. Facebook deletes nothing.

With the right skin conditions, they’re fuckin’ useless for authentication purposes. My skin peels around my fingers on occasion, and devices completely fail to read me when they do.

IANAL, but if used as a burner phone with nothing identifiable on the device itself, you could probably claim you found it on the ground somewhere. You wont get the phone back most likely but that might be better than the alternative

Even with this, biometrics could be construed as proof that it is your phone, whereas just a password or pin still has some degree of deniability

Have link shorteners ever not been shitty? It obfuscates a link for the sake of making things look pretty for people who can’t format text

Tbh i used OLED dark mode on my LG v50, and I got serious screen burn in as a consequence. OLED isn’t worth using for a smartphone IMO.

Samsung is known to be one of the more cancerous of ad-ridden “smart” TVs

I haven’t had any issues with my Sony TV but I bought it several years ago and don’t really use it (I generally consume content on my PC with 3 monitors). It is not connected to any network.

Nah, this is a super common thing for laptops that go into secure areas.

Wireless cards (bluetooth + wifi) go into an m.2 Key E slot on motherboards, so they’re technically upgradeable to newer WI-FI standards. Some desktop motherboards have this as well. Typically, the chip has two thin cables going to the IO panel on desktops to COAX for antennas to connect to.

I wish they were fake… these predate AI. People are genuinely that dumb.

Give em the ol’ Blizzard treatment;

Don’t you guys have phones?

Nah, they’ll kill it after a year due to hard drive costs. Enough screenshots at a resolution high enough to know wtf you’re looking at and still have vaguely usable data would be absurd.

I could see it rebranded for enterprise usage for businesses and schools though, at an extra cost.

They literally didn’t even design what the start menu looks like without the bloat. It’s still a giant blob, just empty.

Nah, just wait for the inevitable data dump because they won’t pay for competent security, and invert the data. No need to get the data yourself when they’re pretty much doing it for you!
