I hope some day AI will be incorporated into a podcast player to be able to know the difference between an add and the podcast and automatically skip all adds. Finally, there would be a good use for AI :)

This is where we could use a browser plug in that uses AI to learn what an ad is and skip it for us. Now we just need someone to start working on it.

Next they will be using your web cam to take pictures of you because … reasons. Then they will turn on your mic and record so that if you verbalize thoughts that don’t make it to your computer screen you can recall those too. Where does it end? I don’t want to know.

Firefox 123.0 changed DNS settings?
After installing Firefox 123.0 I ran a Mullvad Connection check [https://mullvad.net/en/check]() and found I had a DNS leak. Turns out that Firefox had changed the settings under "DNS over HTTPS" so that my Mullvad DNS wasn't being used any more. After changing this setting to "off" in Firefox, the Mullvad check passed.

I’ve used this on my Samsung phone and I’ve seen better battery life with so much junk running in the background.

Use Linux, a VPN, Firefox with containers and multiple privacy add-ons. I use Veracrypt volumes to store “private” information in the cloud.
