Haven't seen a lot of talk about [URLCheck](https://github.com/TrianguloY/UrlChecker). It can clear useless URL parameters, unshorten shortened links, scan links with VirusTotal (API key required) or redirect you to privacy friendly websites like Nitter or Libreddit.
