My wife is a costume seamstress for theater and did costumes for a movie once with Dafoe. She said he was very polite and a tad eccentric, but in a nice/funny way. She did have to take his clothing measurements. Said she can confirm the rumors.
There’s video of him dancing with a flaccid third leg flopping around. There are no rumors to confirm, only consensual visual media to consume.
