Since steam deck came out, I switch to Linux desktop for gaming and it is going really good. Can play my whole library

I wonder what a significant majority of Unknown contributes to ;)

Considering that not many people use BSD or the others, I would guess that most of the “unknowns” are actually Linux users. That means we’re probably already at over 6%. :-)

TempleOS and ReactOS 🤪

Not just Unknown. How many privacy concious Linux users are there? I bet many of them would prefer to blend in with the crowd and use Windows as their user agent.

Well; it’s either going to be people who are sufficiently privacy-conscious to remove as much as possible from their user agent string, or more likely people who have written bots and scrapers that hit popular websites on an absurdly frequent basis. Team penguin, in any case ;)

what distro? is it just the one or all distros added together is 3%?

Same reason android is not counted as Linux, based on Linux but doesn’t behave like all the other Linux based distros

It’s just arbitrary convention, there isn’t a solid taxonomic reason they are separate.

A lot of people will attribute this to the steam deck, but IIRC these stats are from major website user agent visits, not many people use their steam decks to browse the web daily.
