It’s fine, most people still won’t sideload apps, and I am sure there will be a legal disclaimer before starting the process, so I don’t see the problem for Apple.

I am an iPhone user, and I am quite happy to not bother with sideloading, but I fully agree that there should be an option.

You say that, but that’s because you’ve never had the ability. Wait until Apple kills an app you like and pulls it, and you have the ability to have it anyways.

Do you know how many awesome apps there are that aren’t allowed in the store because Apple are serious gatekeepers?

3rd party apps used to be one of the biggest reasons people used to jailbreak their phones. iPhones are WAY too locked down.

And now you have decided that you know how I use my tech based on a few throwaway comments?

You have no clue of my setup, experience or requirenments, so don’t act all high and mighty.

Now, I have already stated since the beginning that having the option to sideload apps on iOS is a good thing, a good thing that very few people will use, but still a good thing.

We agree on the core point, why keep arguing?

And now you have decided that you know how I use my tech based on a few throwaway comments?

Quote where I “decided I know how you use tech”.

You have no clue of my setup, experience or requirenments, so don’t act all high and mighty.

I was speaking to iOS and sideloading, nothing else. Stop being hypersensitive.

  1. I can quote your entire post if you want me to. But let’s focus on your claim that there are awesome apps outside of the app, a claim I have never refuted, if you think I have done so, please quote me on that. No, I am well aware of the limitations on the app store’s policies, and there are only one time when I personally have been annoyed at them, when Youtube Vanced doesn’t exist.

But for the most part, I, like the vast majority of iOS users don’t really care enough about that to give a shit, I am happy that others do, because it is a useful feature, but not critical.

  1. You spoke as if I were against it, please quote me where I am saying it is a bad feature, and if you can’t, then this discussion is completely useless.

You could have said “I don’t understand your argument” or “I disagree” instead, it would be more relevant and use less letters.

You don’t have an argument, you like not being able to do something, that’s peak brain damage.

Just don’t use it, but don’t sell something not working as something good.

My entire point of my previous comment was making fun of Apple for being mad that they can’t have a monopoly, as it clearly won’t be a big deal to them.

Nice strawman, but you can keep it to yourself.
